Recital Costume F.A.Q
Question: I see the measuring chart, but how do I measure my child?
Answer: You want to measure with a cloth measuring tape as follows:
For bust - you want to go around the biggest part of their chest,
For waist - you want to go around the midsection completely in line with the belly button
For hips - you want to go around the biggest part of the hips
For girth - you want to start at the left shoulder, go through the legs and come back to the left shoulder. If you are in between sizes, picture that you have over 6 months until recital and you will want to go with the girth measurement because most costumes can stretch in the width, but not in the length. When you input your sizes into costume manager, it will highlight the size to order for your measurements. You can then choose that size or one size up from that based on your preference.
**Also remember our Customer Astonishment Staff is more than happy to help you with measurements as well!
Question: What are my shoes and tights recommended, not required?
Answer: You will need the shoes and tights for recital, but we wanted to make it optional in case you already have the particular shoes or tights for the routine. We would like to save you a little where we can, so if you already have these items, you will not need to purchase again, but if you don't and want the convenience of a one-stop shop, you can purchase everything here at www.costumemanager.com. We also have a few dance stores around that would be happy to help you in getting these items as well! Ask the front desk for dance store recommendations.
Question: I see hairstyle on the website, what does this mean?
Answer: This is the recommended hairstyle from the dance teacher, and it is simply a guideline to help you with the hair-styling process!
