This class is for those ages 9-11 and is geared for the beginning level
dancer desiring to broaden their lyrical background. This class
begins to demonstrate how to use emotion through dance and music. The
basic smooth movement will be practiced to prepare students for higher
levels of lyrical dance.

This class follows Lyrical 2 and is generally for ages 11 to 12. Other
prerequisites include understanding of basic Jazz and Ballet technique.
Basic movement will now be further developed through more intricate and
complex across the floor and center floor combinations. Further
description and detail about emoting are taught throughout this class.
Students are preparing to move into the Intermediate levels of Lyrical
dance.

Prerequisites include lower level jazz or lyrical experience, and some
ballet technique and background. Students generally ages 12 and up will learn smooth movements
through across the floor and center floor combinations. This is an
excellent class for students who want to explore different ways to
express themselves through their dance. This class incorporates more
emotions and inspiration while utilizing jazz technique.

This class is geared toward the intermediate dancer that is not quite
ready for the advanced level. Advanced dancers looking for additional
classes in their schedules also take this class. Prerequisites include
lower level jazz or lyrical classes, or teacher permission. Students
continue to explore the emotional aspect of dance as well as fluid
movement. Combinations are generally longer and are taught at a faster
pace. The goal is for students to portray their emotions in a way that
audience members can feel.

Previous dance experience is required to succeed in this class. This
class has a choreographed warm-up. It combines across the floor
combinations, and a long center floor combination. Students will learn
to stylize dance moves they learn which will allow them to better
express themselves through their dancing. Combinations will be taught
quickly and students will be expected to keep up. Small groups will
perform combinations at the end of each class. This class is perfect
for students who want to EXPRESS THEMSELVES!!!
